ProScope Solar Privacy

ProScope Solar Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 20, 2026
Last updated: July 20, 2026

ProScope USA (“we,” “us,” or “ProScope”) provides the ProScope Solar app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac (“Solar” or the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information Solar uses, how it is handled, and your choices.

1. Overview

Solar is a companion monitoring app. It helps you view energy data from systems that already use third-party services—primarily EnerWise (inverter / plant cloud) and, optionally, Eco-Worthy (battery / BMS). Solar does not operate those clouds and does not control your inverter or battery hardware.

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use Solar, the App may process:

A. Account and session information you provide

  • EnerWise sign-in details you enter (for example, email address and one-time verification code), and session tokens returned by EnerWise.
  • Optional Eco-Worthy sign-in credentials or an imported Eco-Worthy session (token / user id / email), depending on the method you choose.
  • On Mac, optional session import from the EnerWise or Eco-Worthy apps on the same computer (tokens only; Solar is not intended to copy vendor plaintext passwords).

B. Plant and device telemetry

  • Live and historical plant data from EnerWise (for example solar, load, grid, battery fields, charts, station/device identifiers and names, timestamps, and status).
  • Optional Eco-Worthy / BMS data (for example SOC, voltage, current, power, online status, device name/model identifiers), including data received over Wi‑Fi cloud and/or nearby Bluetooth when you use Connect BMS.

C. Data stored on your device

  • Auth tokens and related account identifiers stored in the device Keychain.
  • App preferences (for example temperature unit, display timezone, Bluetooth peripheral id).
  • Local chart archives and energy totals derived from samples stored on that device.
  • Subscription / trial status used by the App (via Apple).

D. Purchase information

  • If you start a trial or subscribe, Apple processes the purchase through StoreKit / your Apple ID. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may share limited subscription status with the App so features can unlock.

E. Information you send for support

  • If you contact us (for example through our website contact page), we receive whatever you include in that message (name, email, device/OS, app version, inverter model, and problem description).

3. What we do not do

To our knowledge, Solar does not:

  • Sell your personal information.
  • Use third-party advertising SDKs or show ads in the App.
  • Use App Tracking Transparency / cross-app advertising tracking.
  • Operate its own analytics, crash-reporting, or marketing telemetry backend for Solar (beyond what Apple provides for App Store distribution and purchases).
  • Upload your local chart archive to ProScope servers (archives stay on the device unless you choose to share them yourself, for example in a support email).

4. How information is used

Information is used to:

  • Sign you in to EnerWise and optional Eco-Worthy services.
  • Display live dashboards, charts, energy totals, and BMS status.
  • Keep you signed in securely on that device.
  • Enforce trial / subscription access to live monitoring.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Improve the App’s reliability and documentation based on feedback you send us.

5. Where data goes

  • On your device: preferences, Keychain session data, and local archives.
  • EnerWise: when you sign in and refresh plant data, requests go to EnerWise’s systems under EnerWise’s terms and privacy practices.
  • Eco-Worthy: when you use Eco-Worthy features, requests go to Eco-Worthy’s systems under Eco-Worthy’s terms and privacy practices.
  • Apple: app distribution, StoreKit subscriptions, and related Apple platform services.
  • ProScope: only if you contact us for support or otherwise send us information directly. Solar is not designed to stream your plant telemetry to a ProScope cloud.

Because EnerWise and Eco-Worthy are independent services, their handling of your account and plant data is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

6. Bluetooth

If you use Connect BMS, Solar uses Bluetooth to communicate with a nearby battery/BMS. That connection stays local to your device and the pack. You can stop using Bluetooth features at any time in the App / system settings.

7. Data retention

  • Session tokens and local archives remain on your device until you sign out, delete the data in-app (where available), or remove the App.
  • Support emails we receive are retained as needed to help you and for ordinary business records.
  • Apple retains purchase records according to Apple’s policies.

8. Children’s privacy

Solar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to an app of this type, including storing auth tokens in the device Keychain where applicable and using HTTPS for cloud API calls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Your choices

You can:

  • Sign out of EnerWise and/or Eco-Worthy in the App.
  • Stop using optional BMS / Bluetooth features.
  • Delete the App to remove local data stored in the App container (Keychain items may also be removed depending on platform behavior and whether other apps share them).
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Contact us to ask questions about this policy.

11. International users

If you use Solar outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and in countries where EnerWise, Eco-Worthy, or Apple operate.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of Solar after an update means you accept the revised policy.
